Terminal Operator

Job Summary
Operate heavy equipment including loaders, backhoes, and skid steers to load and unload inbound and outbound trucks and rail cars. Perform routine equipment checks and report mechanical or safety concerns promptly while following all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and operational guidelines. Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free terminal environment through general facility and equipment maintenance. Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and ongoing continuous improvement initiatives. A high school diploma or GED is required, with previous equipment operating experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Desired Qualifications
- Previous equipment operating experience (e.g., loader, backhoe, skid steer, etc.) is preferred
- Working knowledge of material handling systems, including pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical components; a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with the Terminal Manager and effectively collaborate with the team
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, including following established procedures, promoting safe work practices, and actively helping maintain a safe working environment
