Job Summary
Terminal Manager will supervise Terminal leadership and subordinates while overseeing daily operations of barge unloading, customer truck loading, and shipping processes aligned with the organization’s strategy. Responsibilities include identifying workplace hazards via inspections, assessing risks, conducting job safety analysis, ensuring training for team members, delivering task-specific training, mentoring and developing staff, maintaining safety and process standards, coordinating and managing crew schedules, and promoting continuous improvement. Strong emphasis on safety, communication, teamwork, and operational efficiency in a 24/7/365 environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and experience in shipping/logistics are highly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma and/or GED
- 2+ years of manufacturing, mining, or aggregate environment preferred
- 5+ years of supervisory and leadership experience preferred
- Experience within Shipping/Receiving/Logistics/DOT, and Customer Relations is highly preferred
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
