Teppan Chef

Teppan Chef at Benihana responsible for engaging, entertaining, interacting and providing a memorable dining experience to guests. Primarily works in front of the restaurant while cooking and preparing hot meals on hibachi tables directly in front of guests. Prepares foods in accordance with portions standards and recipes, handles a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other items, and maintains clean, sanitary kitchen and hibachi areas. Performs a hibachi cooking show, greets guests within 15 minutes of orders, assists guests with cooking preferences, and ensures guest requests are handled promptly. Maintains knowledge of food portions, recipes, presentation, and safety guidelines, adheres to FIFO for food handling, and supports overall guest satisfaction with a courteous service approach. This full-time role includes a 5-week paid training program, competitive pay with potential for tips, and a comprehensive benefits package. Education prerequisite: High School diploma or GED; previous chef/cook experience desirable.
