Job Summary
Lead the Center for Geroscience & Healthy Aging as its inaugural director, establishing a flagship enterprise that advances research, clinical care, and innovation while extending services to rural Minnesota. Set the strategic vision and execution plan for the Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Care, recruiting and mentoring faculty across Medicine and Family Medicine to build a robust research portfolio spanning geroscience, dementia, and symptom science. Oversee education and training pipelines including fellowships and interprofessional programs, championing an age-friendly health system agenda that embeds person-centered care. Coordinate cross-institutional partnerships with M Health Fairview and the VA to integrate clinical innovation and population health, ensuring fiscal responsibility and clear metrics for impact.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent)
- Board certification in a relevant field
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Ability to be licensed in Minnesota
- Eligible for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor
- Record of clinical excellence
- Understanding of geriatric, palliative, and complex patient care
- Outstanding scholarship, including a track record of publications and extramural funding
- Demonstrated record in supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion
