Job Summary
Conduct a teacher-scholar role focused on teaching diverse student bodies, developing a thriving research portfolio, and mentoring students. Maintain an active program of scholarship and contribute to department, college, and university service. Engage in collaborative, interdisciplinary research and teaching across all areas of finance, while advising undergraduate and graduate students. Participate in service activities at academic, professional, and community levels to advance equity, inclusion, and the common good. Deliver instruction in typical class sizes of 20 to 30 students within a 9-month academic cycle (August–May) with a standard teaching load of 2-2-2-3 over a two-year cycle.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Finance or a closely related field
- Ph.D. conferred no later than the position start date of August 15, 2027
- Full-time, 9-month academic appointment (August – May)
- Annual salary paid over 12 consecutive months
- Standard teaching load of 2-2-2-3 over a two-year cycle
- Expectations to advise students
- Expectations to provide service to the department, college, and university
- Teaching load of 2-2-2-2 for the first two years
- Research and teaching interests in all areas of finance
- Interest and potential to engage in collaborative, interdisciplinary research and teaching
- Maintaining an active program of scholarship
- Teaching (typical class size ranges from 20 to 30 students)
- Advising undergraduate and/or graduate students
- Mentoring students
- Contributing to department, college, and university service
