Job Summary
Conduct opening and closing procedures for the shop, ensuring accountability for POS transactions and collecting applicable fees from members and guests. Execute merchandise sales, make court and event reservations, and assist the tennis professional staff with shop operations. Rotate stock, maintain clean displays, and perform general cleaning duties while creating appealing displays under supervision. Facilitate orderly start and play times with coaches and maintain regular attendance. Requires flexibility for weekends, holidays, and busy seasons; high school diploma preferred with knowledge of tennis.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to read and speak English
- Flexible schedules with availability to work weekends, holidays, and busy seasons, as needed
- Must be an active tennis player with knowledge of the game
- Retail sales experience
- Computer proficiency including, but not limited to, POS, Microsoft Office applications, social media, and other programs related to tennis such as tennisdirector.com or ClubAutomation
Desired Qualifications
- one to three months of related experience or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Retail sales experience is preferred
