Job Summary
Conduct individual and group tennis and/or pickleball lessons for youth and adult members across all skill levels. Assist in planning clinics, camps, leagues, and social events while providing personalized instruction and constructive feedback to improve player technique. Maintain equipment, keep courts clean, and ensure a safe, inclusive environment on and off the court. Interact professionally with members, guests, and staff to uphold club standards and promote a positive atmosphere. Schedule court reservations and program communications as needed. Requires a 4.0 playing level or higher, experience in an upscale private club, and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Part-time basis with potential to transition to full-time.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience playing or coaching tennis at a professional, collegiate, or competitive recreational level
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to motivate, inspire, and help players reach their goals effectively
- Ability to work with players of all skill levels, ages, and backgrounds
- Ability to work independently and take initiative while also contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Ability to come to work regularly and on time, follow directions, accept feedback constructively, and treat all individuals with respect
- Reliable transportation and demonstrated punctuality
- Must meet legal age requirements for the position
- Must provide valid document(s) to work in the United States
- A minimum of (3) years of coaching or instructional experience in tennis
- High school diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- RSPA, PTR, or PPR certification (or active pursuit there)
- Experience teaching liveball, cardio tennis, juniors, seniors, or beginner-level players
- Knowledge of tennis rules, tactics, and contemporary teaching methodologies
- Private club, resort, or upscale recreational facility experience
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Willingness to obtain required CPR/First Aid certification
- College coursework in kinesiology, physical education, or a related field
