Job Summary
Plan and facilitate a youth tennis curriculum featuring fundamentals, strategies, and community engagement opportunities at the Obama Presidential Center's Home Court Gym. Teach and demonstrate proper footwork, serving, and timing while adapting instruction to varying skill levels. Lead teens through leadership methods and real-world applications, organizing games and providing feedback to improve performance. Conduct teen interviews to select participants by the roster deadline, manage a 15:1 teen-to-instructor ratio, and supervise a teen assistant. Complete daily data entry, including attendance, survey administration, and program reports. Deliver foundational tennis skills and wellness activities to 15 teens aged 14-19 over a 10-week session from September 28 to December 12, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED

- Bachelor's degree in relevant content area
- Experience coaching tennis
- Experience working with youth in any sports setting
- Experience teaching, specifically teens
