Job Summary
Tennis Centre Junior Instructor – Fall/Winter/Spring 2026-2027. Deliver a fun, safe, and inclusive tennis class to participants; manage class time and attendance; provide quality customer service to participants, parents/guardians, and the public; communicate and document concerns; respond to emergencies including minor first aid; arrive on time and prepare for each program. Certifications not required at time of application but must be obtained prior to commencement (Standard First Aid, CPR-C, High Five certifications). Availability to work evenings and weekends. Police Vulnerable Sector Check required. Location: Keith Davis Tennis Centre, Newmarket, CA. Certifications may be renewed as needed per WSIB/provider guidance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3.5 NTRP playing level
- TPA Instructor Certification
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification
- Demonstrated ability to work well with children, youth, and adults
- Excellent customer service, communication, leadership, and organizational skills and sensitivity to interact with a diversity of patrons, parents, and staff in a courteous and efficient manner
- Availability/flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- Current High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development and High Five Sport certifications
- CPI certification or Safe Management certification an asset
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check satisfactory to the Town
