Job Summary
Plan and deliver private, semi-private and group tennis lessons, including feedback and evaluation of participants. Assist in planning and directing the high-performance junior program. Provide quality customer service to participants, parents/guardians, and the public; respond promptly to inquiries. Communicate concerns to the Recreation Programmer (health and safety, attendance, equipment, inventory, and spaces). Respond to emergencies including minor first aid or arranging medical assistance. Assume a leadership role for other coaches, supporting lesson plans and coaching strategies, and help keep the lesson curriculum up to date.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4.0 NTRP playing level
- 5+ years of club environment coaching experience with all ages and skill levels
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification
- High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development certification
- High Five Sport certification
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check satisfactory to the Town
- Certifications are not required at time of application but must be obtained prior to job commencement
