Job Summary
Lead tennis program with responsibility for planning and delivering private, semi-private, and group lessons in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment. Assist with day-to-day operations of club lessons and programs, provide outstanding customer service to participants and guardians, document concerns to the Recreation Programmer, respond to emergencies including first aid, mentor other coaches, conduct tryouts for leagues/teams, and support lesson plans and coaching strategies. Requires 5+ years club experience, 4.0 NTRP, CPR-C/First Aid, High Five certifications, and availability evenings/weekends; local certification and police check may be required; opportunity for certification offered by the Town.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4.0 NTRP playing level
- 5 years+ experience working in a club environment with all ages and skill levels
- TPA Club Pro 2 certification or higher is preferred
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification required
- Current High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development and High Five Sport certifications required
- Excellent customer service, communication, leadership, and organizational skills and sensitivity to interact with a diversity of patrons, parents, and staff in a courteous and efficient manner
- Availability/flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check satisfactory to the Town is required
- Certifications are not required at time of application but must be obtained prior to job commencement
