Job Summary
Manage the entire tender process from planning to final result by evaluating solution propositions, coordinating tactical project plans, and supporting the Account Owner with customer need analysis. Independently analyze deliverables from Product, Pricing, and P&L organizations while advising, escalating, and renegotiating rates with global, regional, and local management. Maintain the tender reporting tool and dashboard, drive continuous improvement through follow-up with all stakeholders, and ensure on-time, high-quality submission of opportunity replies. Achieve personal and team KPIs in quantity and quality for assigned tenders. This role reports directly into the Regional Head of Tender Management within the Air and Ocean Product organization.
Required Qualifications
- comprehensive understanding of the freight forwarding and logistics industry
- independent decision making related to the tender process
- highly analytical thinking
- ability to creatively translate complexity into clear instructions
- effective communication in English and at least one other major language spoken in the region
- strong understanding and practical know-how of coordinating various independent stakeholders under a tight deadline
- comfortable guiding local pricing teams
- ability to converse easily with global or regional C-level functions
- professional project management in an international environment
- Minimum of University bachelor's degree, or equivalent Tender Management / freight forwarding experience
- Experiences in various areas of freight forwarding (sales, operations, customer service etc.)
- Advanced level MS Office (emphasis on excel) and business applications
