Job Summary
Tender Specialist supports the RFQ/P/I (tender) process for large regional and global accounts across multiple modes and geographies, coordinating between commercial resources and procurement/product teams to win, retain, and grow global forwarding revenues. Responsibilities include qualifying tenders, coordinating inputs from pricing and stakeholders, preparing commercial/operational tender content, collaborating with global stakeholders to optimize strategy, tracking risks and proposing mitigations, drafting written responses to RFIs/RFPs, ensuring timely delivery of compliant tenders, advising on optimized tender management practices, reviewing pricing with product managers, and coordinating post-bid reviews with leadership. The role requires strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, Excel/data management proficiency, and project/meeting management capabilities, with a preference for a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of tender-management experience in global forwarding.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 years of experience in global forwarding with pricing and/or tender Management background
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data/rate management skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Excellent project and meeting management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
