Job Summary
Water System Maintenance Worker II for Cal Water in Bakersfield, CA. Under supervision, performs essential maintenance and repairs of water facility infrastructure including mains, service lines, hydrants, meters and meter boxes; assists with flushing and maintenance of mains; operates hand and power tools; loads materials, disposes debris, and maintains company facilities. Requires strong communication with supervisors and the public, basic math, reading and interpreting safety rules, and ability to generate routine reports. HS diploma or equivalent and valid CA driver’s license required; California Water Distribution Operator II certification is desired. Role involves field maintenance tasks, equipment operation, safety compliance, and occasional painting/repair of facilities.
