Job Summary
Implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and Texas Education Agency guidelines while adapting materials for diverse learning styles. Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal testing to support intellectual, emotional, and social growth. Manage classroom behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and maintain a conducive learning environment for physical, social, and emotional development. Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curriculum per Individual Education Plans and use technology to strengthen the teaching process. Maintain professional relationships with parents, colleagues, and community members while compiling and filing all required reports and records.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Certified Teacher preferred
- Candidates must have a satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check
- Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the employee
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Frequent district-wide travel
- Occasional statewide travel
- Frequent prolonged and irregular hours
