Job Summary
Plan instructional needs for middle school Band and Choir programs using a constructivist approach. Implement state and district curriculum while employing a variety of assessments to inform daily teaching. Educate the whole child intellectually, emotionally, and physically by fostering a vibrant learning community focused on character development and growth mindsets. Establish strong partnerships with parents, students, and staff, and attend all pertinent faculty, parent, and school meetings. Provide culturally responsive instruction that models respect for diversity and attends to special needs. Begin the 2026-2027 school year on 8/25/2026 as a temporary educator for Rosemont Ridge Middle School (0.8 FTE) and Athey Creek Middle School (0.2 FTE).
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of best practices in teaching
- Oregon teaching license in assigned area(s) and proper endorsements
Desired Qualifications
- Masters Degree preferred
