Job Summary
Oversee children and childcare staff in before- and after-school programs; plan and coordinate developmentally appropriate activities; manage behavior and ensure safety and quality of childcare services; coordinate program staff, attend team/department meetings, and assist the community education manager with program norms and required documentation; communicate with parents about children's needs; coordinate care and maintenance of the childcare facility, assist with opening/closing and snack planning, and support staff with their duties; manage off-site field trips, assist with staff scheduling, and create advertising for the program; demonstrate problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills, and maintain confidentiality; require AA/AS in child development or related field, two years of experience with children, CPR certification, MMR vaccination, and proficiency with Google Drive/Docs/Sheets; ability to stand for long periods, stoop, bend, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds; flexible to perform additional related duties.
Required Qualifications
- AA/AS in child development or related field
- Two years of experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
- A combination of training and direct experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Acquire and maintain first aid CPR certification
- Must provide proof of MMR vaccination
- Knowledge of Google Drive/Docs/Sheets
