Job Summary
Oversee all aspects of the retail business, including recruiting, training, and developing staff on brand values, products, and service. Drive sales by executing business plans that align with American strategy to exceed daily goals and improve KPIs. Manage operational excellence through budget control, inventory management, merchandising standards, and strict adherence to policies and procedures. Ensure staff compliance with health and safety protocols, time and attendance rules, and DEIB initiatives while fostering an inclusive environment. Balance analysis with empathy when addressing performance concerns and create development plans for team growth.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years managing in a retail environment
- Strong HR skills in hiring, scheduling, training, conflict resolution and performance management
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Strong customer service, supervisory and sales skills
- Knowledge and interest in skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the shop including holidays, evenings, and weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with consultation-based customer service models
- Ability to develop and train staff through positive coaching and feedback
- Strong record of accomplishment of developing retail staff careers
- Proficient in excel, Microsoft suit, and adaptable to other systems as required
- Experience in cross cultural collaboration and DEIB or social justice training
- Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages
