Job Summary
The Needham Public Schools seek a temporary Special Education Instructional Assistant to support students with diverse learning profiles under the guidance of licensed educators. Responsibilities include providing academic, behavioral, and/or emotional support; preparing instructional material; assisting with special area classes; supporting classroom and individual student behavior; and participating in mandatory or elective professional development. The role is normal in-school, with duties performed in classroom and potentially on field trips, and requires patience, calm demeanor, knowledge of student safety, and basic technology skills. Compensation includes an hourly rate in the listed range.
