Job Summary
Provide guidance and supervision of residents in daily living activities; participate with coworkers on implementation of treatment plans and therapeutic services; ensure resident safety and maintain a positive, respectful, and therapeutic environment; collaborate with families/support networks to reinforce positive partnerships; plan and participate in off-campus resident activities and assist in transporting clients to home visits and doctor appointments; adhere to crisis intervention and behavioral guidelines; ability to assist with physical interventions and restraints as part of safety protocols; candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license, be at least 21, and complete Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training; position located in Eugene and Portland, Oregon with PRN schedule; pay rate $23.00+ per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 Years of Age
- Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must have a valid driver's license
- A desire to work in the human services field & caring for at-risk youth
- Must have the ability to build strong relationships with diverse individuals or communities and understand their unique needs and challenges.
- Must be open to meeting the cultural needs of individuals or communities, considering factors such as language, traditions, and values.
- Successfully participate and complete a three-part Nonviolent Crisis Intervention exam and training
- Physical Demands: Must be able to assist staff in physical interventions and restraints of clients
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time (2-4 hours)
- Must be able to twist, bend and stretch in a manner conducive to the execution of daily activities within a residential treatment facility
