Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions for ICU patients while providing direct care, patient/family teaching, and discharge planning. Safely administer medications and IV therapy, monitor cardiac arrhythmias and EKG changes, manage mechanical ventilation, and titrate vasoactive drips. Perform pain assessments, interpret arterial blood gases, and implement VAP bundle protocols. Collaborate in multi-disciplinary rounds, delegate tasks, and document all interventions and patient responses accurately. Requires current MA RN license, ACLS certification, and 1 year med-surge experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- MOAB class required within 60 days of hire
- Current MA Registered Nurses license
- ACLS upon hire OR must hold an active BLS card and obtain AHA ACLS within 60 days of hire
- Must be able to lift 20 to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to lift 10 to 25 pounds frequently
- Must be able to lift greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly
