Job Summary
Part-time, one-year fixed-term Project Associate supporting coordination, communications, and reporting across a university research consortium. Responsibilities include attending PI/project meetings and producing concise meeting notes, tracking action items, circulating monthly project digests, collecting inputs from partners and synthesizing structured drafts, and developing/maintaining a project website and documentation. Tasks also cover preparing mid-year and annual reports and monitoring project expenditures in coordination with senior researchers. The role emphasizes well-structured drafts for review by Lead PI and PIs, with an anticipated time commitment of roughly 13-14 hours per week. The position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, strong writing and organizational skills, and experience with Google Workspace and GitHub or similar tools. Remote work within the United States is allowed; the role is based in Ithaca, NY, with no relocation or visa sponsorship provided. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., environmental science, engineering, public policy, or related discipline)
- Experience in project coordination or management, preferably in academic or research settings
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear and concise writing ability, with experience preparing summaries or structured documents
- Ability to manage tasks across multiple stakeholders and follow through independently
- Familiarity with collaborative tools (e.g., Google Workspace, GitHub, project management platforms)
- Basic experience with website maintenance
