Job Summary
Temporary Program Aide supporting an Early Learning Team for 6 months with potential for a permanent role; participates in planning and implementing program activities, collaborates with Family Support Workers, Teacher, Teacher Assistant, and site supervisor; assists in child care and classroom activities during parent meetings/workshops; supports CLASS implementation and the Planned Language Approach for dual language learners; handles food service and sanitation tasks (DuPage); assists in guiding children, maintaining appropriate ratios, and ensuring safety; attends mandated trainings and tracks professional development, including CACFP documentation; contributes to program self-assessment, recruitment, and enrollment efforts; requires high school diploma or equivalent and bilingual ability is preferred. Location: Chicago, IL (on-site).
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Ability to work with diverse individuals and groups
- Sensitivity to needs of children and families including those with disabilities
- Ability to perform physical activities including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Working knowledge of computers
- Bilingual preferred – Spanish, Portuguese, French, Yoruba
