Job Summary
Temporary Payroll Specialist-Remote position overseeing and managing successful weekly/biweekly processing of multi-state payrolls, training properties on payroll software and timekeeping systems, processing off-cycle checks, reversals, and voids, auditing and reconciling payroll data, and performing ad hoc reporting. Requires Workday and hospitality payroll experience with a Bachelor’s degree preferred; strong knowledge of wage/tax laws, 401K/garnishments/PTO, and proficiency in Word/Excel. Must possess excellent customer service, analytical thinking, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a remote, hospitality-focused environment.
Required Qualifications
- Workday experience preferred
- Hospitality experience preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of Federal and State wage & hour and tax laws
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a shared service environment
- Experience with 401K, garnishments, health care deductions and PTO accruals
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent customer service skills
- Sharp analytical skills with the ability to identify 'why'
- Ability to comfortably speak in front of others
- Self-driven with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
