Job Summary
Temporary, part-time Food Service Worker at RISD Dining and Catering responsible for assisting culinary and bakery staff with food preparation, ingredient handling, and station setup across multiple campus locations. Duties include washing, peeling, cutting, and preparing ingredients; following recipes; maintaining cleanliness and sanitation; operating dish machines; serving customers in a professional, courteous manner; setting up and breaking down dining locations; and following health code procedures. Requires flexibility to work at various campus locations, customer service focus, and ability to operate a cash register and provide hospitality in Front of House settings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of experience in a restaurant, college or café-style food service environment
- Attention to detail and good oral communications skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to move from one auxiliary operation to another on a daily basis
