Job Summary
Temporary Package Handler responsibilities include receiving and issuing incoming mail and packages at the North Campus Student Service Center using packaging software, delivering packages to student rooms, and delivering excellent customer service while communicating with mail carriers, guests, and staff. The role requires teamwork, reporting of damage and safety issues, and alignment with campus operations. The position is full-time with roughly 39 hours per week, includes physical duties such as lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing stairs, and requires a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and a valid NY driver’s license. Scheduling may vary based on operations, and there is no visa sponsorship or relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- read and write in English effectively
- Basic computer knowledge and troubleshooting experience
- valid NY State driver’s license
- Able to lift 50 lbs. consistently
- Able to climb three flights of stairs
- Able to stand for long periods
- Able to work in all weather conditions and extreme temperatures
