Job Summary
Contract role for Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at University Health Services, University of Notre Dame. Direct patient care across campus populations, oversight of hospital and discharge care, liaison to medical consultants, coordination of care with campus partners, and engagement in professional standards. Responsibilities include indirect patient care through medical education, committee participation, maintaining medical records in the EMR, and ensuring licensure and certifications (Indiana RN license; NP certification or PA certification; IPLA; DEA; CPR). Requires Master’s-level nursing education (MSN, Post-Master’s, or DNP), NP or PA credentialing, and state/federal licensure; in-person work in Notre Dame, IN. Required Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN), Post-Master’s Certificate, or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program
- Active Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license
- National NP certification (e.g., FNP)
- Maintain IPLA licensing
- Maintain DEA license
- For Physician Assistant: Graduation from an accredited PA program
- NCCPA certification
- Maintain DEA license
- Maintain IPLA licensing
- CPR life-saving certification (provided as needed)
- Experience with medical records/EMR and patient privacy requirements
