Temporary Member Services Representative

Job Summary
Initiate conversations to assess member needs, process deposits, loan payments, and manual payrolls, and disburse cash or check withdrawals. Open new membership accounts, research inquiries about credit union services, and perform outbound calls to members as needed. Balance cash drawers daily, post night and ATM deposits, and maintain drawer levels within prescribed amounts. Identify fraudulent activity, observe security controls, and assist with branch self-assessments and business development outreach. Complete member transactions accurately within guidelines or seek approval for exceptions.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Ability to be trained and efficiently operate credit union systems and proprietary software, including proprietary software (New Solutions, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Ability to work flexible work hours including evenings and weekends
- May be required to travel to cover other Branches
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use keyboard and data entry skills
- Close vision
- Ability to sit
- Ability to talk and hear
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to type and use a keyboard
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 to 40 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
- Minimum one year experience in financial institution or other customer service industry
- Prior cash handling and customer service responsibilities
- Preference for working in organizations that place priority on teamwork and collaboration

- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively – both verbally and in writing
