Job Summary
Coordinate patient flow and manage chart data by escorting patients to exam rooms, scheduling tests, and ensuring HIPAA compliance for all records. Perform point-of-care diagnostics including glucose testing, vital signs measurement, and administering injections or treatments while maintaining clean, sterilized treatment areas. Answer medical calls, explain fee schedules, and assist clients with intake forms and insurance authorizations. Review patient charts for completeness, make referrals, and monitor supply inventories and safety equipment like crash carts and oxygen tanks. Work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed to support the interdisciplinary team in serving underserved communities.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate
- Current CPR Certification
- Valid California driver's license
- State mandated automobile insurance
- Access to automobile
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Familiarity with the Hispanic culture
- Work schedule including evenings, overtime, and weekends
- Ability to prioritize workload and work under pressure of deadlines
- Ability to meet tight time sensitive deadlines
- Motivation and commitment to the provision of high-quality healthcare for indigent and underserved communities
- Willingness to adapt to changes with regards to the agency's growth and expansion
- Ability to speak Spanish
