Temporary Marine Yard Hand

Build snow support frames on boats, pull shrink wrap over the hull, tie knots tightly, and use a heat gun to shrink the wrap. Wear a respirator and personal protective equipment to conduct bottom washing of boat hulls. Stage equipment for wrapping, washing, and storing boats, while assisting technicians with staging supplies for winterizations. Work diligently to ensure safety and a high standard of care for customer boats, communicating with team members to promote efficient distribution of responsibilities. Spend the majority of a 10-hour shift outdoors in Fall/Winter weather lifting 40 lbs to 7 feet. This temporary, full-time role supports the Fall Haul at West Alton's New Service Center, with potential rehire for Spring Launch. Candidates with mechanical inclinations may be trained for year-round technician roles.
