Job Summary
The Temporary Maintenance & Custodial Technician is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in assigned living spaces for individuals utilizing temporary housing services. Key responsibilities include daily cleaning and sanitizing, preparing vacant units for occupancy, performing general maintenance and repair tasks, assisting with supply management, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and handling emergency cleaning requests. The role requires problem-solving skills, self-direction, and the ability to work effectively in a team and crisis-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have the ability to speak, read and write in the English Language
- Ability to respond with humility to diversity and to our unhoused neighbors
- Ability to work effectively, cooperatively and respectfully with staff, volunteers, guests, partners and community members regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, partner status, faith, age, socio-economic status, gender identification, and physical or mental ability.
- Act with honesty and integrity; exercise appropriate discretion and maintain confidentiality of information.
- Ability to work schedule as assigned, working as a part of a 24 hour system, and staying awake at all times during work hours.
