Job Summary
Move stock between the plant and shipping yard, loading and offloading trucks while communicating with drivers to ensure safe loads. Complete receiving paperwork, pick and pack orders using a DSI scanner, and restock inventory. Operate various forklift sizes and follow all safety rules, including those for lifting up to 50 lbs and working in all weather conditions. Maintain a valid BC driver's license and complete required training. Work a staggered shift schedule Monday through Friday for $25.58 hourly. Forklift certification and experience with pipe and fittings SKUs are assets.
Required Qualifications

- Communicate in a professional manner and have strong communication skills
- Positive attitude, team oriented and willingness to learn
- Ability to work safely and efficiently under pressure
- Flexible and adaptable to change
- Ability to pick and pack the orders
- Ability to use RF scanner and complete all orders by using RF scanners
- Ability to operate all forklift sizes in the shipping department
- Forklift certified and maintain a valid BC driver's license
- Experience as a Shipping Loader Operator at Westlake Pipe & Fittings or equivalent
- Must have the ability to work staggered shift schedule as per Collective Bargaining Agreement
- Basic knowledge of computer skills
- Ability to follow instructions as directed by Supervisor

Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrating a good working knowledge of safe and efficient truck-loading procedures is an asset
- Good knowledge of various pipe and fittings SKUs with regard to the yard/warehouse locations is an asset
