Job Summary

Instruct students in English and Spanish to improve academic success through a defined course of study while assessing student progress and advising parents on expectations and goals. Prepare teaching materials, report grades and attendance, and direct instructional assistants to address individual student needs. Monitor student activities across the classroom, lunch, and grounds to maintain a safe environment, and report incidents involving fights or suspected abuse in adherence to Education Code and district policies. Collaborate with school personnel, parents, and community agencies to improve student outcomes and plan curriculum. Maintain consistent attendance and participate in meetings such as parent conferences and in-service training. This temporary 1.0 FTE position requires bilingual fluency and a valid Oregon teaching license for the 2026/27 school year.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Oregon Teaching License, endorsed to teach Elementary - Multiple Subjects
  • Bilingual fluency in English/Spanish
  • Fluent English/Spanish skills
  • Ability to instruct reading, writing, math, and other content areas in Spanish
  • Possess a valid Oregon Teaching License, endorsed to teach elementary, multiple subjects
  • Satisfactory results of Drug screening tests for any illegal drug or substance classified in Schedules I through V under the Federal Controlled Substances Act
  • Post offer physical abilities assessment
  • Nationwide criminal history verification - a background check for any convictions directly related to the duties and responsibilities of the position

  • Skills to motivate students, communicate with individuals from varied educational and cultural backgrounds, direct support personnel, evaluate performance
