Job Summary
Manage recognition programs, newsletters, and the rewards platform for the supply chain organization while acting as the primary Talent point of contact. Support workforce planning, staffing, scheduling, and training needs, and guide employees through policy interpretation and employee relations issues including grievances and union meetings. Oversee the pre-employment and onboarding process, including background checks, drug testing, and unemployment claims, while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address Talent challenges, validate headcount, and prepare job requisitions. Maintain high customer service with internal stakeholders and participate in continuous improvement initiatives for the Talent function.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in an Human Resources role
- Strong understanding of employee relations principles and best practices on a manufacturing and/or warehousing environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build a rapport at all levels of the organization
- Experience supporting workforce planning efforts
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to take initiative and is results oriented
- Bachelor's degree, preferred
Desired Qualifications
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification and prior union environment experience are a plus
