Job Summary
Perform general golf course grounds and facility maintenance including snow removal, litter cleanup, pruning, restroom cleaning, and minor repairs such as painting, carpentry, and fencing. Operate light, medium, and specialized equipment to complete assigned tasks like grass seeding, sod installation, mowing, aerating, and top-dressing fairways, roughs, tees, and greens. Ensure sand trap maintenance and follow USGA recommendations for changing cup locations on greens. This temporary, at-will position requires passing a pre-employment background check and involves working an average of 29 hours or less per week at the South Mountain Maintenance Shop.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass a required pre-employment background check
- Must work an average of 29 hours or less per week
- Must work an average of 129 hours or less per month
- Are not eligible for County benefits
- Are not considered merit employees
- Are 'at will' employees who may be terminated for any reason, without notice, and without a pre-termination hearing
