Job Summary
Conduct lifeguarding duties, instruct swim lessons, and supervise youth sports programs including basketball, soccer, baseball, track, and tennis at the Taylorsville Recreation Center. Serve as a rock climbing belayer or instructor, manage front desk operations, or perform custodial maintenance tasks as needed. Work an average of 29 hours or less per week or 129 hours or less per month as an at-will, non-exempt employee. Lifeguard certification and training are required for aquatic roles; background checks via fingerprinting and RAP enrollment are mandatory for all positions.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program
- Must work an average of 29 hours or less per week or an average of 129 hours or less per month
- Are not eligible for County benefits except as otherwise provided for by policy
- Are not considered merit employees
- Are 'at will' employees who may be terminated for any reason, without notice, and without a pre-termination hearing
