Job Summary
The Job Developer role supports newly arrived refugees and immigrants to achieve economic self-sufficiency through direct client guidance and active employer engagement. Responsibilities include identifying and securing employment opportunities aligned with clients’ skills and language levels, developing individualized career plans, providing job readiness support (resume development, interview practice, job applications, workshops), and facilitating employer relationships to build a robust job placement pipeline. The position involves coordinating services with the employment team, communicating effectively with diverse groups, conducting field outreach to engage employers, assisting clients through job searches and onboarding, and maintaining accurate case notes to meet funder requirements. The role also includes supervising and training interns and contributing to program goals within a hybrid in-person/remote work arrangement in Philadelphia. This is a temporary full-time position based in the Philadelphia office with potential for hybrid work as team needs allow.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in a related field
- Minimum Experience: 2+ years of Career Coaching or Job Developing experience
- Valid driver’s license with access to reliable transportation
- Experience with refugee/immigrant communities preferred
- Bilingual skills preferred (Swahili, French, Arabic)
