Job Summary

Support students with special needs in inclusive classrooms by delivering direct academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support individually, in small groups, or one-on-one. Implement data-driven push services (RSP) to ensure access to outlined accommodations and assist with testing, homework, and program reviews. Collect and compile behavior data records daily, track supports in Welligent weekly, and facilitate recognition of student progress. Engage in de-escalation, redirection, and assistance with daily functional skills while building relationships with students and staff. Direct parent inquiries to credentialed staff and attend all required trainings.

Required Qualifications

  • Must complete 12 semester units and/or 18 quarter units and be currently enrolled for the same units or possess a BA/BS degree required
  • Prior experience working with students with special needs in a learning environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficient in data collection
  • Strong math skills
  • Knowledge of behavior intervention strategies
  • Must be flexible and team-oriented
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic, accountability, and ownership of work
  • Regular attendance, dependability, and punctuality in conformance with the standards are essential to the successful performance of this position
  • Occasionally required to kneel, climb, and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level, lift up to 30 pounds. To bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below. Always required to wear the appropriate safety equipment for the task, which may include gloves, goggles, aprons, belts, etc.
