Job Summary

Serve as a customer liaison between recruiters and newly hired employees, assisting with pre-employment and employee health steps under minimal supervision. Perform clerical and reception duties including record maintenance, retrieval, information dissemination, typing, word processing, and report preparation. Conduct background and reference checks while maintaining the confidentiality of HR work and adhering to Joint Commission Standards. Organize, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks using Microsoft Word, Excel, and HRIS systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of high school or equivalent
  • Minimum of one (1) year advanced clerical experience
  • Experience in a high volume customer service-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of Human Resource policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of quality assurance program and safety standards
  • Knowledge of Laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, and procedures governing the Human Resources Department and personnel activities of operating departments
  • Knowledge of Basic personnel records and documentation
  • Knowledge of Occupational titles and concepts
  • Knowledge of Job duties performed and job-related standards for employment
  • Knowledge of Modern office practices and procedures including filing and operating standard office
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards pertaining to the Management of Human Resources
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; HRIS
  • Ability to Maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work
  • Ability to Convey a positive and professional image to applicants, employees and visitors
  • Ability to Understand and follow oral and written directions
  • Ability to Perform general clerical work and learn quickly the specific operations of a human resources department
  • Ability to Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and fellow employees
  • Ability to Evaluate education, experience, and other qualifications and determine their applicability to established requirements
  • Ability to Read, understand, apply and explain regulations, standards, policies and procedures
  • Ability to Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to Work effectively with applicants, co-workers, and other hospital departments
  • Ability to Maintain accurate records
  • Ability to Perform basic statistical computations
  • Ability to Effectively conduct background and reference checks
  • Ability to Effectively organize, prioritize and complete multiple tasks

Desired Qualifications

  • Supplemental courses in human resources
  • HR Certification
  • A background or experience in human resources
