Job Summary
Manage the full lifecycle of gifts and grants, including proposal support, award setup, financial tracking, reporting, and closeout. Partner with Advancement and internal stakeholders to develop and submit grant proposals, including budgets and required documentation. Ensure budgetary and financial information is accurate, complete, timely, and compliant with donor restrictions, grant agreements, and applicable regulations. Monitor expenditures against gifts and grants, ensuring alignment with restrictions and contractual commitments. Maintain accurate records of restricted fund activity across systems. Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor requests related to financial and grant audits. Process and review invoices, payment requests, and transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with award requirements. Provide day-to-day guidance to departments regarding allowable spending, restrictions, and fund availability. This is a temporary, full-time role through October 31, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience managing grants, restricted funds, or nonprofit finance across the full award lifecycle
- Experience with grant proposal development, budgeting, and post-award financial management
- Knowledge of restricted fund accounting, GAAP, and/or Uniform Guidance
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and concurrent deadlines in a fast-paced environment
