Job Summary
The Temporary General Labor position involves loading and unloading materials, operating machinery for sealing and labeling, and managing inventory tasks. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and the ability to operate various machinery, including postal scales and packaging equipment. Responsibilities include counting and packing printed materials, maintaining quality standards, and supporting overall production efficiency. Flexibility to be trained on computers and the ability to lift various weights are also required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education (GED) preferred
- Ability to operate postal scales and meters
- Ability to operate sealing tape dispensers, automatic carton staplers, automatic shrink-wrap packaging machines, mail-tying machines, automatic envelope sealers, and automatic tabletop staplers
- Flexibility to be trained on computers
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
