Temporary Forest Health Technician provides field support to NYSHI’s Hemlock Conservation Team in the Adirondacks region of New York to survey for HWA and apply systemic insecticides to hemlock trees, with duties including field surveys for HWA, GIS data collection, marking trees for treatment, assisting with data collection, and data entry; requires high school diploma, ability to work in varied weather and rugged terrain, valid NY driver’s license, and ability to work independently and in a team, with travel as needed; six-month, full-time on-site position in Saratoga Springs, NY, pay $22/hour, no visa sponsorship or relocation assistance.
