Job Summary
Monitor hot work areas (welding, cutting, grinding, torch work) to identify hazards, maintain a safe work environment, and respond quickly to fire risks. Ensure fire extinguishers and fire suppression equipment are readily available and operational; immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, or hazards; sound alarms and initiate emergency response if a fire occurs. Maintain fire watch for the required period after hot work and ensure permits and safety procedures are followed. Communicate safety concerns with contractors, maintenance personnel, and site leadership. Project-based, temporary full-time role with 40 hours/week and shifts including day, afternoon, and overnight.
