Temporary | Event Captain

Oversee the setup, execution, and teardown of campus events across the stadium, Club Naimoli, the Compton Family Ice Arena, and the Joyce Center. Ensure room setups are correct before vendor arrival, touch base with clients to confirm expectations, and verify vendor timelines and A/V troubleshooting. Collaborate with planners, Facilities, Security, and Catering to coordinate seamless support, then complete post-event captain reports and kitchen cleaning checklists. Spend pre-event time in the office reviewing assignments with the Event Specialist. This temporary/on-call role supports the University's Events department in managing student life, academic initiatives, and annual celebrations.
