Job Summary
Conduct vocational support activities in workplace and community environments for individuals with developmental disabilities. Supervise participants while they work on preferred tasks, ensuring safe equipment use and proper body mechanics. Assist with activities of daily living and collaborate with families, advocates, and community partners to promote full citizenship. Complete assigned administrative duties and operate power tools such as saws where applicable. Work in an industrial setting with loud noise levels, requiring the ability to multi-task. Requires a valid Sask. Full Class 5 or Novice 2 driver's license, reliable transportation, and a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
Required Qualifications
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- A valid Sask. Full Class 5 or a Sask. Novice 2 drivers license and access to reliable transportation
- Satisfactory Driver's Abstract
Desired Qualifications
- 3-6 Months Experience (volunteer or employment)
- Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or post-secondary education in a related field
- Operating saws and other power tools
- Wood working and carpentry experience
- Mechanically inclined
