Job Summary
Assist adults with mental illness in improving employment functioning by identifying interests, skills, and options to facilitate a community-based employment plan. Provide services including work experience, job development, placement, and retention while determining barriers to stability and presenting available resources. Collaborate with DMH, DOR, and community partners to support employment goals, contact family members with authorization, and participate in staff meetings and agency operations. Maintain program documentation standards with 24-hour turnaround and engage in required trainings and audits. Work cooperatively with staff to ensure seamless service delivery and engage in duties directed by program management.
Required Qualifications
- current class C driver's license
- a vehicle for transportation
- proof of valid automobile insurance
- the ability to be insured by MHALA liability insurance
- good basic English writing skills
- good basic computer skills
- highly organized
- excellent communication skills
- flexible and able to multi-task without losing productivity
- Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- a high level of tolerance and understanding for a work atmosphere that is very busy and highly unstructured and for individuals who present for services with urgent multiple needs, issues, and problematic behavioral characteristics
- Flexible work schedule

- the ability to maintain an empathetic view for the dilemma of individuals in severe need and be able to juggle creatively and successfully around a variety of barriers that keep individuals from successful personal and community living
