Temporary Electrical Technician I

Job Summary
Repair and replace defective parts in controllers, switchboards, switches, and conductors while installing and maintaining electrical components on heavy equipment. Perform preventive maintenance on field electrical systems, test solid-state circuitry for defects, and install enhancements or major upgrades to electrical subsystems. Design and modify motor power control equipment circuits by reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Ensure accuracy in all preventive maintenance duties and maintain a strong commitment to safety culture. This role is located at 10000 NW 2nd, Oklahoma City, OK 73127 and has the potential to convert into a full-time permanent position. Candidates must be capable of utilizing proper PPE and working in narrow spaces or heights up to four feet.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient ability to calibrate, test, troubleshoot and install instrumentation and/or electrical equipment
- Able to read blueprints
- Strong understanding of safety procedures
- Must be capable of utilizing proper PPE
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to lift 65 lbs. from floor to shoulder level occasionally
- Ability to frequently exert the pound force limits for push/pull 50lb f (no wheels) or 100lb f (wheels)
- Requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying, and reaching or handling with arms, hands, and fingers
- Requires crawling and working in narrow spaces
- Requires frequent repetitive movements, i.e. hammering, turning wrenches, screwdrivers and impact tools
- Manual dexterity sufficient to work with fingers
- Normal vision with or without corrective lenses
- Will be required on occasion to work more than 8 hours on one shift
- Will be required to work at a minimum height of four feet off of the ground
- Ability to operate overhead cranes, mobile equipment and motor vehicles as required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the manufacturing industry working with low, medium, and high voltage electrical equipment maintenance is preferred
