Job Summary
Configure, deploy, and manage Windows and macOS devices, including modern AI PC hardware, while diagnosing and repairing hardware, software, and network issues across campus. Provide Tier 1 support for enterprise AI tools like Gemini, assist users with productivity applications, and handle service desk requests via phone, walk-ins, and ticketing systems. Maintain accurate hardware inventory and document solutions in the knowledge base. This temporary, 40-hour position concludes within six months at the Newberg Campus. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with modern deployment tools, generative AI technologies, and a commitment to the university's Christian mission and community values.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency with Windows, macOS and iOS hardware, and software systems
- Demonstrated experience with modern deployment and configuration tools for doing large-scale machine deployments
- A basic practical understanding of generative AI technologies and enterprise productivity tools (e.g., Copilot, Gemini, ChatGPT)
- An awareness of basic AI security, data privacy standards, and responsible AI usage policies within a school or enterprise environment
- A familiarity with application and desktop virtualization
- Demonstrated experience working with and configuring networks, servers and printers
- Manual dexterity needed to handle very small parts and tools
- A strong attention to detail along with the ability to develop and adhere to standardized processes
- The ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
