Job Summary

Coordinate and participate in the conduct of complex clinical research trials at the Institute for Population and Precision Health. Assist with planning and implementing study goals, organizing patient enrollment, and conducting quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with federal and institutional regulations. Develop study procedures, maintain records, track progress, and prepare documentation for IRB submissions, grant renewals, and regulatory agencies. Provide direct supervision of research staff, manage performance evaluations, and act as a liaison with medical staff and satellite facilities. Perform clinical tasks including physical assessments, vital signs monitoring, history taking, and phlebotomy. Serve as a resource for investigators on protocol requirements and assist with audits and monitoring visits.

Required Qualifications

  • Current valid Registered Nurse - Illinois license
  • High School Diploma
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline
  • Research certification (e.g., SoCRA, ACRP, Graham School Clinical Trials Management & Regulatory Compliance)
  • Fundamental working knowledge of clinical research
  • Knowledge of clinical trials regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of patient care fundamentals, including aseptic principles and techniques
  • Ability to provide direct patient care in a professional and respectful manner
  • Ability to read medical documents and instruments
  • Ability to read, understand, and implement clinical trials protocols
  • Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong data management skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize work assignments
  • Occasional weekend/evening hours for enrollment events at community partner locations
  • Travel may be required for enrollment events at community partner locations
  • Drug Test Required
  • Health Screen Required

Desired Qualifications

  • Nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting
  • Phlebotomy and/or intravenous line placement experience
  • Clinical research experience
  • Experience with Epic or other electronic medical records
