Job Summary
Temporary Clinical Research Coordinator at NIH/NIDA site in Baltimore, MD. The role supports administering mental health assessments and diagnostic interviews, coordinating screening and scheduling for study visits, collecting and entering data, managing participant travel and remuneration, and maintaining regulatory documentation. Responsibilities include preparing source documents, developing and maintaining protocol materials, aiding in data analysis and reporting, coordinating with clinical staff on enrollment and study procedures, assisting with regulatory binders, facilitating participant orientation (including MRI/mock MRI), and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations. The position involves collaboration with NIH/NIDA teams, IT staff for website/tools updates, and ongoing trainings to support Good Clinical Practices and study objectives. This is a temporary assignment (~4 months) at NIH in Baltimore as part of Axle’s clinical research support services.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, biological sciences or related discipline
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a research related field
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in behavioral counseling, preferably in drug/smoking/alcohol treatment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Field of Study: Social Work (Required)
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills
- Strong communications skills (oral and written)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, client-focused approach
- Previous experience in human subjects’ interaction (clinical or research)
- Previous clinical trial work
